Building a Great Nation
Building Great Nation

Let us recall a story Peter Drucker has related on
how to identify a "true manager".

It seems that three stonecutters were once asked,
what they were doing.

The first replied - he was making a living.

The second said - he was doing
the best job of stonecutting in the entire country.

The third stonecutter said, in Drucker's word,
"looked up with a visionary gleam in his eyes and said:
'I am building a cathedral' ".

It is the third man, Drucker tells us,
who is the "true manager".

Now, if you apply the same story for the election:

The first candidate may say - I am counting my votes.

The second candidate may say,
I am breaking the two party system.

The third candidate has already said,
I would rather lose an election than lose a war.

That third candidate may now say that,
"I am building a Great Nation on Planet Earth".

If you listen to that famous, Joe the Plumber video,
Obama said,

"...even if I don't get your vote,
I am still going work hard on your behalf..."

Now, if you ask, "what are you doing?"

Obama may say, "Counting Votes".

Ralph Nader may say,
"This is the end of party based political system".

John McCain may say,
"Building a Great Nation".

As a Presidential Candidate, you should never say that,
"I may not get your vote".

Likewise, McCain should not ignore Michigan state too.

It is not about winning or losing.

Focus of your campaign should not be on
counting the number of votes.

Focus should be on Principles, Vision,
Character and other Leadership qualities.
